This is a campaign to get all of Congress to spend most of their time in their home districts/states. The reason for this is that we need to disrupt the DC culture of corruption where our Congressional representatives and senators spend most of their time with lobbyists and other politicians.
We believe the Constitution does not prohibit voting and Congressional sessions via the internet and that our senators and representatives need only spend a very limited amount of time in DC, maybe once or twice per year. Internet technology is now more than adequate to facilitate committee meetings and congressional sessions and other meetings via the internet with our representative being home or in their states.
We know that we have internet technology that allows the president to have national security conferences via the internet so we know we already have most of the technology necessary.
We need to demand that our representative and senators work primarily in their own districts |
